Our promise in short

Who Writes Our Content

All SpellMistake content is created by our in-house team. Each person works in the area they know best, and each has more than four years of hands-on experience:

  • Muhammad Ahtesham, Founder and SEO Strategist. Plans every tool and guide, writes and reviews SEO content, and signs off every page before it goes live.
  • Afza, Co-founder and Marketing Expert. Writes guides, help text and marketing content, and makes sure every piece answers what our readers really need.
  • Hassan, Senior Web Developer. Builds the tools and checks every technical claim about how they work.

Each article shows the author name and the date it was last updated. You can learn more about the team on our About Us page.

Our Quality Standards

Every guide, tool page and service page on SpellMistake must meet these seven standards before it is published. If a piece does not meet all of them, it does not go live.

StandardWhat it means for every page
1. AccurateEvery fact, number and rule is checked against a trusted, primary source, such as Google Search Central documentation, official web standards or the tool provider itself.
2. HelpfulThe page answers the reader’s real question fully, with clear steps or examples they can use right away.
3. OriginalWe write our own content from our own work and testing. We never copy, spin or lightly rewrite other websites.
4. ClearWe use simple words, short sentences and plain explanations, so beginners and experts can both follow.
5. ExperiencedAdvice comes from people who do SEO, marketing and development work every day, and we share real examples where we can.
6. Up to dateWe review content when rules, tools or search engines change, and show the last updated date on every page.
7. TransparentWe say who wrote a page, where our facts come from, how our tools work and when we use AI or earn money from a link.

How We Create and Review Content

Every piece of content goes through the same five steps:

  1. Topic research. We choose topics based on reader questions, user requests and search demand, and only write when we can add real value.
  2. Brief. We plan the angle, outline, questions to answer and the sources to use.
  3. Writing. A team member with knowledge of the topic writes the first draft.
  4. Expert review. Muhammad Ahtesham reviews SEO advice for accuracy. Hassan reviews any technical or tool related claims.
  5. Final check. We check spelling and grammar with our own tools, test every link and confirm every fact before publishing.

Sources and Fact-Checking

We base our advice on primary sources whenever possible. Our main sources are:

  • Google Search Central documentation and official Google blog posts
  • Official standards, such as RFC 9309 for robots.txt, the sitemaps.org protocol and schema.org
  • Documentation from the data providers our tools use, such as Google PageSpeed Insights, the Chrome UX Report and Ahrefs
  • Our own tests and the real results we see in our work

When we quote a number or a rule, we link to the source. If sources disagree, we say so and explain what we recommend and why. We do not publish rumours or claims we cannot check. Read more in our Corrections and Fact-Checking Policy.

How We Use AI

We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines or first ideas. AI never publishes on its own. A member of our team writes or rewrites every piece, checks every fact and claim, and is responsible for the final text. We do not publish mass-produced AI content, and we do not use AI to fake experience, reviews or quotes.

Standards for Our Tools

Our free tools follow the same quality standards as our articles. Every tool is built on official rules, tested with known correct answers before launch, re-tested every month and fixed as a high priority when a bug is reported. Our Methodology and Data Sources page explains how each type of tool works and where its data comes from.

Independence, Advertising and Affiliate Links

SpellMistake is free because it is supported by display ads and by our paid SEO services. Neither changes our advice:

  • Advertisers do not choose, review or approve our content.
  • We never accept payment to recommend a product, rank a tool or publish a link inside our guides.
  • If a page contains an affiliate or sponsored link, we label it clearly and mark the link as sponsored, as Google asks.
  • When we mention our own SEO services, we say so openly.

Updates and Dates

We review our most important pages regularly and update them when Google changes its guidelines, when a standard changes or when one of our tools changes. Small fixes, such as a typo or a broken link, are made without changing the main date. Bigger updates that change the advice update the “Last updated” date shown on the page.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Serious corrections are noted on the page with the date and what changed. To report an error, use our bug report page or email hello@spellmistake.com.

Guest Content

We sometimes publish guest articles. Guest content must meet the same quality standards, be original and helpful, and is edited and fact-checked by our team. Guest posts show the real name of the author. We do not sell links inside guest posts.
