What "Known Entity" Means Here
If the Knowledge Graph Search API returns an entity with the same name you entered, the tool says Google knows it. If not, it shows the closest results.
The public API only covers part of Google’s full Knowledge Graph. A brand can still have a knowledge panel or be understood by Google even if it does not show here.
Is the Google Entity Checker Accurate?
- Known brands return the right entity
- Types, descriptions and IDs match the API
- Exact and close matches are told apart
- Names with accents and symbols work
- Errors show a clear message
Accuracy in plain words
Google updates the Knowledge Graph often, and the public API can lag behind what you see in search. Use this tool as a quick check, and look for a knowledge panel in Google too.

Use consistent details everywhere, add Organization schema with sameAs links, get mentioned on trusted sites, and create profiles on sources like Wikidata where it fits.
Why is my brand not found?
Your brand may not be a known entity yet, or the public API may not show it. Check Google for a knowledge panel too.
